My main goal in starting Picture Perfect Mind was to help people to feel better on a regular basis. And what better way to help than to provide these tools in larger group settings?
An article in the Buffalo News stated that Western New York is one of the unhealthiest regions in NYS. And since about 90 percent of chronic disease is linked to stress, this leads me to believe that we have a stress problem in WNY.
As a trained health coach, I provide a variety of stress reduction and thought management workshops to professionals to reduce stress despite what’s happening in our external environments. I like to call these our daily “vacation moments”.
Definition of vacation moment- When one drops into the present moment in a nonjudgmental manner to simply observe and connect to the now.
When we take a few minutes to pay attention to our present moment we create a reduction in overall stress and tension, allowing ourselves to feel refreshed and able to return to our work.
Research has indicated that mindfulness practices not only increase overall health and well being, but have increased worker’s productivity and reduced employer’s costs.
And who doesn’t want that?
My mission is to help people to understand that the way we think is directly linked to the way we feel. And the way we feel impacts the way we live and work.
This is the third workshop of Lindsay’s I’ve participated in at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. I always walk away with tools to better deal with my life! This makes me want to help others and do this kind of work as well.
Enthusiastic teacher! Friendly, experienced, open and provides resources.
