Here’s my story. For a long time, I was stuck in a vicious cycle of fear. I was too afraid to take action, but I was constantly thinking of the goals I wanted to achieve. I had no idea where to begin and it felt like everything I wanted was impossible. I didn’t feel good enough and overwhelm was intense. I was scared of being judged, of failing, and making the wrong choice. At times, I took on everything at once and other times I stayed paralyzed and did nothing. Either way, I never had to face true failure because I chose to fail intentionally.

Then I had an epiphany that changed my life. I realized my true desires would never change. I could either continue to think about what I wanted to do but stay stuck OR I could accept the work, trust in myself, and allow myself to move forward. The truth is that either way will be hard. Would you rather feel the feelings of failure and overwhelm without touching your goals, or do the work and propel yourself towards success?

What I came to learn is that deciding is the first and most important step. It doesn’t matter how you do things. It doesn’t matter how long it’ll take. What matters is you deciding what is going to happen and planning your life ahead of time. When you make a choice everything else becomes easier.

Your intuition knows what is right for you. Your brain will do it’s best to confuse you and keep you away from the unknown. In both scenarios your desire stays the same. It’s about whether you will start to listen to what you really want.

  • Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or fearful on a regular basis?
  • Do you feel shame or like you’re not good enough?
  • Do you keep trying to achieve the same goal time and time again?
  • Do you feel confused on how to achieve your end goal?
  • Do you buffer with food, alcohol, shopping, procrastination, or perfectionism?
  • Do you need guidance and accountability?
  • Do you want to create a life-long habit change?
